Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Broth:

  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

For the Ramen:

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (fresh or dried)
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken thighs or breasts evenly with the spice mixture and allow it to marinate for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and thoroughly cooked. Remove from heat and let the chicken rest before slicing it thinly.
  3. Prepare the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Pour in the heavy cream, stir well, and let the sauce thicken slightly over low heat. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Cook the Ramen Noodles: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to the package instructions until tender. Drain the noodles and set them aside.
  5. Make the Spicy Broth: In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until aromatic, about 1 minute. Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, and heavy cream. Stir to combine and let the broth simmer gently for 5-7 minutes to meld the flavors.
  6. Assemble the Ramen Bowl: Divide the cooked ramen noodles evenly into serving bowls. Ladle the spicy creamy broth over the noodles. Top with sliced chicken and drizzle the creamy garlic sauce on top.
  7. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle chopped green onions over each bowl. For those who enjoy extra heat, drizzle with chili oil. Serve the ramen hot and enjoy the rich, fiery, and creamy flavors.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs with breasts if preferred, but thighs provide more moisture and flavor.
  • Adjust chili powder and chili oil quantities to your preferred spice level.
  • Fresh ramen noodles offer the best texture, but dried noodles also work well.
  • Use low-sodium chicken broth to control salt content if desired.
  • The creamy garlic sauce can be doubled for extra richness.
  • Leftover ramen soup can be refrigerated for up to 2 days but noodles should be stored separately to avoid sogginess.
