Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 1 box of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)

Coating and Decoration

  • 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts
  • 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles
  • 3 tablespoons red candy melts (for drizzling, optional)
  • Green sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake Mixture: Unwrap all the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them into a large mixing bowl. Using a handheld mixer, blend the cakes until they become a crumbly dough-like consistency, then fold in the festive sprinkles evenly.
  2. Form the Truffles: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the cake mixture and carefully roll each between your palms to form smooth, compact balls. Arrange the formed balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to chill.
  3. Melt the White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the white chocolate or candy melts gently, stirring until smooth and fully melted.
  4. Dip the Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, coat each chilled cake ball entirely with the melted white chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off, then place them back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Prepare Red Candy Drizzle: Melt the red candy melts in a microwave-safe piping bag or a ziplock bag by heating in 30-second increments, massaging the bag between each, until the candy is completely smooth.
  6. Decorate the Truffles: Snip a small corner of the bag and drizzle the melted red candy over the white-coated truffles. While the drizzle is still wet, sprinkle green sanding sugar on top for a festive finish.
  7. Chill and Set: Place the decorated truffles in the refrigerator for several minutes until the coating hardens completely. Serve and enjoy your festive holiday treat!

Notes

  • You can substitute the white chocolate with any candy melts flavor you prefer.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent the truffles from sticking during the setting process.
  • The red candy drizzle is optional but adds a beautiful festive touch.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Handle the melted chocolate carefully to avoid overheating and burning.
